The cleanest 4 year old in the world...

My daughter has decided that she wants to take showers now instead of baths - and she wants to do it by herself. She does a great job and she has showered 4 days in a row now and would take two a day if we let her. I am all for cleanliness, but she also goes in the pool every day, so this is literally the cleanest 4 year old EVER!

Goofy Sibs

A & B goofing off today.












I had a sad moment today. B was being generally naughty and hitting me and I told him no sternly and sat him down. Well, this offended him greatly and he started crying. I went to give him a hug and snuggle and he said, "NO" and went to A and snuggled with her for comfort. So I put this down as the moment in which he really got mad at me the first time.



I had some not good parenting moments today. We all have those. I yelled too much, was very impatient.. I don't even know if they ate all of their meals today. I just threw food at them until they stopped asking me for it. But now, they are bathed and in bed dreaming sweetly. Tomorrow will be a better day. Wednesdays are good because we have structure. Breakfast, School, Lunch, Nap, Dance, Dinner, Bed.

Better Late Than Never...

These are the pro shots we had done of A for her 4th birthday in April - obviously before we cut her hair off. And one bonus of B, but he was unhappy to get pics done as you can see.

A B C's

B can recognize most of his upper case A B C's. He just started one day. He started bringing us the letters from the fridge and telling us what they are. Thank you leapfrog LOL. I am going to try to take a video, but everytime he sees the camera, all he wants to say is "cheese", so it is difficult to catch it.

Sleepover - Over

Storytime with A & D








Storytime for K












Sleeping peacefully. These two insisted on sleeping together in the trundle while giving K the big bed all to herself. Our belly babies are attached at the hip.





They had a great time together. K & D fit very well into our schedule and it was sad to bring them home this morning. I am sure we will do it again sometime soon.

Sleepover

A has her best friend D and his sister K sleeping over. D and A are 4 weeks apart and are the absolute best of friends. They definitely treat each other as boyfriend and girlfriend (very innocently). They were standing watching TV today and we noticed that D had his arm around her waist and it was sooo cute.

What shall be always known as the Olive Oil incident

We came into the kitchen to find our darling B sitting in the middle of the kitchen covered in olive oil. He had opened the cabinet, taken out the olive oil, UNSCREWED the cap, and shook it... ALL OVER HIMSELF, THE FLOOR, EVERYWHERE. He is the devil. I truly believe that.

The next day, he decided to play in the toilet. Chris came upon him and he was bathing himself in the toilet.

Both of these things happened in the space of FIVE minutes. He know if he is going to be the devil, he needs to do it quick before we catch him.

This one is going to give me the gray hair.

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought of with the olive oil was "where's

the camera?

My Daddy

For some reason, a lot of times when A talks to C, she calls him "My Daddy". As in, "My Daddy, what are we having for dinner?" and "What are you doing, My Daddy?". She doesn't do that with me or anyone else, but very frequently with C. It is very cute.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

A has had a haircut. A short bob for summer. Her hair was getting so long and hairclips and ponytails wouldn't stay up any longer. So she has shorter hair for now.
